台灣各地眷村的改建，近年來，隨著老兵的逐漸凋零，眷村第二代人口又不願苦守老舊的屋舍，造成住戶大量外移的現象，老眷村已從過去的熱鬧景象，演變成
今日蕭條的模樣。忠貞新村的眷戶，由於拆除改建迫在眉睫，筆者訪問正在搬遷到台中的住民，依依不捨神情溢於言表。
These photographs document Zhongzhen New Village, a military dependents' village in Pingzhen, Taoyuan. With demolition and redevelopment imminent, the author interviewed residents who were moving to Taichung and reluctant to leave their homes.
