桃園平鎮的忠貞新村原係安置來台異域孤軍，眷村改建政策推動後，國防部將忠貞新村拆除，土地標售給遠雄蓋新樓，忠貞新村居民的許多文物，隨意棄置，並未妥善保存，令人婉惜。
These photographs document Zhongzhen New Village, a military dependents' village in Pingzhen, Taoyuan. The text notes that the village originally housed stranded soldiers who came to Taiwan from abroad and that many residents' belongings were discarded after its demolition.
